Topic: Sci Fi TV Show!

The Battlestar Galactica series is tough to beat.

I liked Star Trek : Deepspace 9 a lot too.

Son, you've got a panty on your head.

The original V.  Haven't really gotten into any sci fi series since.

Star Trek TNG

Re: Sci Fi TV Show!

Stargate Universe
Caprica                  the last 5 episodes are on Syfy.com and really ended the last season well.
Star Trek

Hopefully some other channel picks up SGU and Caprica.  Syfy seems to want to cancel their best shows and only show fake reality shows.   At least BBCAmerica shows some scifi stuff now.

I do remember liking the original V.

I recently read an article that quoted one of the creators of the Star Gate shows as saying that Star Gate is finally finished.  After 18 years there is absolutely no Star Gate working being done.  The movies they had planned our canceled and there are no new episodes being filmed.  My wife and I were saddened that SGU was cancelled while shows like Sanctuary remain on.

Ohhhh Toughie!

ST-TOS (I spent my childhood glued to it)
ST-TNG
BSG-TNG
BSG-TOS (I spent my teen years trying to be as cool as Starbuck)
Firefly (Why was this cancelled, too hardcore I guess)
Dr. Who (up to Tom Baker I kinda lost interest after the scarf went)
Space 1999 (again teen years thing)
Thunderbirds, Fireball XL5 (any of those Gerry Anderson shows really, except supercar never got into that) (kiddy thing)
UFO (not sure whether you had that in the states)
Tomorrow People (UK kids sifi which was awesome)

Dr Who is my fav followed closely by Red Dwarf.

Re: Sci Fi TV Show!

BSG (revisited)
TOS
TNG
DS9
Voyager

I wish there had been a more technical sci-fi show instead of the "here's how we'll travel really fast and, oh look, here's an alien that can stop time!"  BSG started that way...

Also, for an animated show, Star Wars: The Clone Wars isn't half bad.

Have you had your derp today?

Re: Sci Fi TV Show!

Firefly
UFO

I have UFO on dvd.. whole series..I always thought it was a pretty smart show even with some of the more horrid props..  But there was good SciFi there.

Firefly...Firefly proves once and for all time that Studio Execs really will never have a clue as to what good sci fi, and good television is.   The show was utter genius.  Good story telling, good scifi, good adventure, fantastic characters.. oh, yea, and belivable!!!!

Re: Sci Fi TV Show!

I remember UFO, and another I remember watching back when it first came out, Space 1999.  Someone was steaming that on Jtv.
